The Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation was created in 2000 to contribute to medical research in cardiovascular science through the provision of financial support.
The Foundation awards its annual Grand Prix Scientifique to a scientist who has made a major contribution to cardiovascular physiology, biology or medicine.
It also awards research grants to postdoctoral researchers working full time in cardiovascular science at a French research institute.
The Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation was created in December 2000 to honor the memory of Michel Delalande, the Founding President of the Delalande pharmaceutical group.
Michel Delalande was born on July 15th, 1899 in Saint Just en Chaussée, in the Oise region of France. As a teenager, this country doctor’s son discovered a real passion for chemistry, which ultimately led him on to study pharmacy.
